3 - The Dark Knight

Another one of my favourite movies is The Dark Knight. This movie is full of details, both large and small, that make it excellent. This movie has generated a lot of interest because of Heath Ledger's death, and this makes people want to see it more. I think that his acting in this movie is excellent. The Joker is, in my opinion, one of the best villains on movies to date. He is wild and psychotic, but at the same time, he is shrewdly intelligent.
This movie also has a bit of a philisophical element to it. It examines how the Joker and Batman are really alike, and they cannot exist without the presence of the other. It also explores what man will do to man when provoked. It is also very interesting how Harvey Dent, Gotham City's hope, turns into Two-Face; an embodiment of both Batman and the Joker. The ending is also very interesting. Batman takes the blame for a crime he does not commit. By doing so, this movie implies that being a true hero requires great sacrifices, and maybe the hate of society. This movie is very good, and I recommend that anyone who has not seen it should do so.
